Double Tops for Thomas in Castlereagh
With Covid restrictions in place for the second year in a row Modern Tyres have had to cancel plans for their annual conference.
The annual conference is the highlight of year where all their branch managers come together for a weekend to acknowledge the years achievements. In particular it sees the presentation of the Modern Cup to the best performing depot. For the second year in a row the Castlereagh branch under the management of Thomas Sloan has fought hard for the top position beating of opposition from 45 other branches to claim the top price.
The Castlereagh branch joins only a couple to have achieved such a feat Tempo Road branch in 2001/2002, Dungannon 2004/2005/2006 and Strabane 2012/2013.
Speaking about this great achievement Branch Manager Thomas Sloan said ‘To have been able to win the Modern Cup in 2020 was a massive achievement working in difficult circumstances through the pandemic but to go and do the double last year is just amazing and testament to Ronnie Walsh, Stephen Agnew and Sam Scott, the great team I have working with me in Castlereagh depot. I only hope we can raise the bar again in 2022 and go onto to do the treble and match the record already set by Dungannon’
A special mention must also go out to Ballyclare and Noel Reaneys in Ballymena who finished second and third respectively. We acknowledge the hard work put in across the group and thank all staff for their exceptional efforts through the year.
