In Memoriam

The 3rd of June 2022 saw the passing of Modern Tyres founder, Jimmy Byrne. Jimmy passed away peacefully at his home in Enniskillen with his family at his side.

 

Jimmy Byrne started Modern Tyres in 1965 when he opened his first tyre depot in the Old Railway Yard in Enniskillen.

 

From there, Jimmy went on to identify opportunities, purchase new sites and with his sons and daughter joining the company, this would ultimately allow it to expand into what would eventually become the family run Modern Tyres of today.

Jimmy, a family man whose principles laid the foundations for Modern Tyres, has ensured his legacy will live on through his own family and in turn, the greater Modern Tyres family.
